Travelers seeking utmost luxury in royal Rajasthan find their true home in Samode Haveli of Jaipur. A beautiful building in white with filigree trellises and balconies and painted walls, Samode Haveli is a small charming place with emphasis on warm and personalized service. Samode Haveli takes in only individual travelers; there are no noisy groups here.
The property has been restored carefully and is the ultimate in chic, understated luxury. It was constructed 175 years ago as a residence of the rulers of Samode. Later the foundation of the haveli was laid by Rawal Sheo Singhji, the then Prime Minister in the Jaipur court. Made to face the north direction, away from Rajasthan’s burning sun, Samode Haveli even has an elephant ramp!
Samode Haveli has 29 rooms and suites well appointed with the amenities that are considered standard in modern living. Authentic antiques, fixtures, Rajasthani paintings and family portraits adorn the rooms. The Maharaja and Maharani suites have ceilings covered with mirrored mosaics and paintings that present a stunning image to the viewer. The awesome Samode Haveli has even found mentions in Conde’ Nast’s publications.
The dining room here is spectacular with its hand painted walls and ceilings. Meals can also be enjoyed in the lap of comfort in the airy verandah or a candle lit dinner in the verdant gardens, to the accompaniment of folk music and dance performances. The haveli also has conference and banquet facilities for up to 50 people and al fresco meals for up to 150 persons. Recreation options within the hotel include swimming, Jacuzzi, pool side bar, ayurvedic massage centre, puppet shows and theme lunches and dinners.
